Metal etching is an amazing way to add texture to metal, and bring a pattern or image to life. It’s like drawing on metal. It involves using chemicals to corrode the negative space in your design.
Acid Etching Workshop
What will you learn in this workshop?
In this workshop, students will become acquainted with the beautiful art of etching; they’ll learn basic metalworking skills to prepare their pieces for etching.
They’ll learn about the chemicals used, resists, design, and etching. They will create many samples, and be inspired to create jewelry. Participants will take home their finished jewelry products; rings, necklaces, earrings…etc.
This workshop does not require jewelry making background.
