Ayad loves working with found objects and abandoned treasures as her material and she uses the texture to translate her thoughts. “My use of texture is an important part of conveying a visual narrative that speaks to the wearer as well as the viewer.”
She aspires that her art would have the power to change the ways people think and express dissent, to be used as a tool for challenging the status quo, and to voice one’s thoughts on human conditions.
She is also the founder of Cairo Centre for Contemporary Jewellery CCCJ.
